My aim is to leave the viewer with a sense of joy, of being connected emotionally and physically.
From a young age I had a strong interest in art without understanding, at the time, it would lead me on this wonderful and challenging journey to be an artist. In the 1980’s I enrolled in college to study ceramic art, art history and painting. After 20 years as a potter, an exciting and creative time for me, I made the decision to return to my first love of painting. It has been about developing my own style. To use colour freely and boldly. To express mood. I work in an impressionistic style, using acrylic paint which gives me the freedom to create a loose style and to maintain a fresh result. The sheer love of painting, of expressing in exuberant colour has been a positive experience for me which I will continue to explore..
